Gregory Terrace Foundation

Through the generosity of the Terrace community, the Foundation has contributed significantly to the College with grants from its Building Fund for capital developments. Detail on some of the major projects the Foundation has funded to enhance the learning facilities of the College can be seen in the download on Foundation Building Developments. The Foundation also maintains a strong commitment to its Charitable Fund for educational allowances and the Edmund Rice Scholarship fund for needs based scholarships.

Fundraising Programs – “An Investment in the Future of Terrace”

At the opening of Waterford Place, College Principal, Mr Peter Chapman, made the statement that the College community has a long tradition of altruism and generosity.

“This wonderful place reflects the contemporary generosity of so many parents, Old Boys and past families who have, through the hard work of the Gregory Terrace Foundation, made Waterford Place a reality,.” Mr Chapman said.

The following fundraising programs seeking philanthropic support are operated by the Foundation.

Capital (pledge) Campaign

Parents are asked to contribute through a pledge commitment with regular voluntary tax deductible gifts to the building fund. The recent opening of Waterford Place, affords Terrace flexibility in its planning to continue to provide students with a high quality education.

Annual Giving

Each year the Foundation approaches members of the wider Terrace Community – Old Boys, past parents and friends – asking them to consider a tax-deductible donation to the Building Fund or Edmund Rice Scholarship Fund. The Appeal letter, signed by the Principal and President of the Old Boys’ Association, explains the vision and future capital development plans to improve facilities at the College.

Bequests

A bequest made in one’s will is an opportunity to invest in the future of Terrace. It can be made in a variety of ways – property, a fixed monetary sum, shares or bonds, insurance policy or a percentage of an estate. Testimonial gifts to the Charitable Fund or Scholarship Fund can be preserved to provide named bursaries eg. In a family or loved one’s memory – in perpetuity.
