Family

We, the Students, Staff, Parents, Old Boys and Friends form the

“Terrace Family”

One of the most compelling qualities of Gregory Terrace and one of the more profound identifiers of our school is the sense of “Family” that develops at Terrace and which endures and in some cases, grows powerfully, over time.

This concept of family in our College community goes to the essence of friendship, character, solidarity and support, in fun and in loss and challenge.  The bonds of friendship and care that form at Terrace between students, staff, parents, old boys and friends are remarkable – as evidenced by the legacy of ongoing concern, support, involvement and camaraderie from, towards and between members of our community, in some cases many years removed from direct contact with Terrace.

The Terrace spirit endures in the spirit of our people; in Terracians, of all ages - past and present.  Everyone who has been involved with our College has contributed to the tapestry of Terrace and can share in our community and continue to belong long after they have moved away.

It is this sense of belonging that we value so highly and which is among the most significant and important of legacies and gifts - a quality recognised by many in our community.  For truly, it is our people, our family that has created the wonderful History of St Joseph’s College and shaped the unique Identity of Terracians.

The Terrace Family includes:

The Terrace Family is sustained by a number of other important support groups, organisations and networks that continue to do great work within our community and who make a valued contribution to the efficient running of the school, including:
