A new direction

Terrace new Director of Tennis/Coaching Graeme Brimblecombe brings extensive national coaching experience to the role, including working with Major tournament winners Pat Rafter and Sam Stosur.

Mr Brimblecombe has moved into the role from the performance coaching role he held in 2010 and 2011. He has worked as the Director of Player Development in both Tennis NSW and Tennis Queensland. He has also working at the Australian Institute of Sport as the men’s coach.  In these roles Graeme has worked with players such as Pat Rafter, Scott Draper, Sam Stosur and Chris Guccione.

Graeme has also held roles as the director of Tennis at BBC and was in charge of the coaching programs of the dual premiership teams at Churchie. He is currently a Director of Lifetime Tennis and as such will be dovetailing the highly successful Lifetime Tennis programs into the Terrace Tennis structure.

In 2012 we will be developing and delivering a range of programs with two specific goals in mind.

1. Increase participation in Tennis at Terrace

2. To Implement a performance program that our focussed players can access allowing them to attain a competitive state or national level.

With this in mind we have engaged a coaching staff with the ability of achieving these goals.

The Terrace Tennis Coaching staff will consist of people highly qualified and experienced in coaching and also a highly experienced playing background.

The 2012 coaching team will consist of Graeme Brimblecombe, Luke Steers, Heath Denman, Robbie Sorbello and Joel Lindner.

Terrace Tennis is supported by a very dedicated   group of parents who have formed the Tennis Supports Committee. This committee is chaired by Mr Tom Hackett.

In 2012 GPS Tennis has been moved to Term 2 while CIC Tennis has remained in Term 3. While Tennis is out of the competition season there are a range of programs for your son to access to help them develop leading up to the GPS and CIC seasons.

Please refer to the pages/documents (right) for further information on our GPS or CIC programs or our Terrace Tennis programs.
