Volleyball

Volleyball is another Terrace sport that has grown in popularity and stature within the sporting program, on the back of court success. Volleyball provides a dynamic, explosive, Term 1 sporting option for Terracians and for many, will fit in with the balance of other sports and activities they may be involved in, throughout the year.
Volleyball is offered to our high school students with competition against the other GPS schools. Terrace is renowned for having the most number of teams in the GPS competition, typically fielding teams in the following divisions:
- Year 8: A, B, C, D;
- Year 9: A, B, C, D;
- Year 10: A, B, C;
- Year 11: A, B, C;
- Open: 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams.
Students are selected in Volleyball teams based on attendance, performance and attitude throughout all pre-season and formal season training and competition. Full attendance at pre-season training clinics will maximise the opportunity for selection into A and B teams.
Terrace is establishing a great tradition in Volleyball and our sport aims to provide exciting opportunities for competition, enjoyment, fitness, physical and mental challenge for our students. Volleyball is a sport built on teamwork and communication and develops great camaraderie.
