Tours & Excursions

Increasingly the world is becoming a smaller place and in the words of our College Principal, a school such as Gregory Terrace is no longer just a “local school”. Travel and a sense of worldliness is important and St Joseph’s College appreciates the value, diversity of experience and growth that travel can afford our students.
Terrace has a significant history of tours and has established relationships and partnerships with a number of international schools, offering wonderful learning opportunities to our students. Our College aspires to give students a sense of internationality during their time here and our formal exchange program offers unique immersion opportunities to our students.
In addition to the exchange program, the College has traditionally conducted tours and trips through our sporting and cultural programs. These have included Music tours to Canada, rugby and cricket tours to Japan and New Zealand and the Chapel Choir’s recent tour to Italy, to name a few. Terrace also conducts a range of excursions to domestic locations as part of our curriculum and academic program, our retreat and campus ministry programs. We also conduct recreational trips (such as ski trips) for our students and of course conduct annual camps and retreats as part of our Outdoor Education program, at our outstanding facilities at Maroon. Indeed there is much to learn from exploration of our own vast country, also.
This webpage will be periodically updated with information on forthcoming tours and trips, via the section below and the related documents section of this webpage.
