St Joseph’s College has, since its foundation, been blessed with teachers and staff possessing great care and ability who have been prepared to devote great energy and make considerable sacrifice for both the advancement of our College and the wellbeing and education of our students.

This spirit of dedication has its genesis in the pioneering and visionary exploits of the Christian Brothers, who wanted to provide a better opportunity to those less fortunate.  Their dream has been achieved with resounding effect.

As Terrace has gone from strength to strength since its humble beginnings, it has attracted (and retained) a remarkable array of professional staff and true teachers with a passion for educating our men, in the traditions of Terrace.  As the Christian brothers have receded in numbers, their ranks have been filled with lay men and women, many of whom have stayed with the school for long periods, several for over 25 year periods, who have infused their own spirit into our culture and strongly influenced our story.
