Exams and Assessment
As part of our commitment to learning and our pursuit of academic excellence, our College aims to develop, in its students, strong learning and study habits, to help them perform in their examinations and assessment pieces and to prepare them for life beyond Terrace. The exams and assessment process is the primary means by which we test academic performance and is an important way for students, parents and staff to monitor effective habits and promote improvement. Exams
The scheduled examination period occurs during the last three weeks of the semester. Students can check Year level schedules for dates and times (when they become available).
At the conclusion of each term, students will be formally assessed. Results from these exams will be reflected in subsequent report cards.
Strategic planning around the set dates of examinations will result in the best possible academic outcomes.
During this time, Years 11 and 12 are required to attend only when they have assessment. Years 5-10 have assessment interspersed with normal lessons.

Assessment
Assessment calendars are designed to aid and clarify due dates for assessment for each subject, in each Year level.
This calendar is an important tool in organisation and planning towards obtaining the best possible academic outcomes. The document should be displayed in a prominent place within the home.
