Clowning Around at Stage Academy | Mr Matt Cocking

This week, our Stage Academy students clowned around while working on their non-verbal physical theatre skills with Cirque Du Soliel clown, Mr Clint Bolster. This workshop helped the boys boost their skills ahead of the 2025 Junior Musical Peter Pan Jr, to be held in the Edmund Rice Theatre from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 May.

Clint Bolster is a clown, physical actor and mask theatre specialist with 20 years of experience. He regularly performs both in Australia and internationally, with credits spanning the United Kingdom, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Clint was recently accepted into the Cirque Du Soleil ‘Database of Clowns’, and was featured in the 2022/23 Australian tour of Slavas’ Snow Show.

The students had a fantastic time learning from Clint and taking on the challenges of physical theatre, using movement and expression to effectively communicate with an audience. We look forward to offering more opportunities like this workshop in the coming weeks.
